Back in 1997, as we drove throughout Cary and Raleigh - trying to find the white basketball shorts that the FVAA required for our three sons to wear - we kept returning home, empty-handed, and saying to ourselves, | |

"You know who would have those white shorts, don't you? Why, a Fuquay Sports Shop would!" Well, recognizing the need and summoning up the courage to take a big personal risk, we decided to demonstrate to our boys "walking the talk." And on September 15, 1997, we opened the Fuquay Sports Shop, at our original location, at 123 S. Main St. |

| Thanks to the patronage of our loyal customers in the Greater Fuquay-Varina area and our wonderful staff, the Fuquay Sports Shop continued to grow - both in business as well as product lines. | |

Feeling the growing pains, in July of 2003, we moved into our new location at 501 Broad St., in historic Varina. Having doubled our floorspace, acquired adjacent parking, and significantly increased our visibility, our "new digs" at the corner of Broad and Ransdell streets have been a hit with everyone. |
